Current Status of the 2020-2021 Broomball Season December Update

The Federation of Broomball Associations of Ontario recently met once again to discuss the status of the 2020-2021 season.

As a result of our most recent meeting, the F.B.A.O. made the difficult decision that, in light of COVID-19 concerns and the continued increase in cases throughout our province, there will not be any sanctioned broomball this season.

This decision was not made lightly and there has been considerable debate and discussion since March 2020. While we are all saddened that we are not able to have sanctioned broomball this season, we are eagerly looking forward to the possibility of a 2021-2022 season and getting back to the game we love once it is safe to do so.

We understand that these are difficult times for everyone and appreciate everyone’s understanding that the health and well-being of our members is our top priority. We hope that everyone stays safe and healthy, and we look forward to hopefully sharing some good news for sanctioned broomball in Ontario in 2021.

Yours in Broomball,

Lesley Squibb

F.B.A.O. President
